Date:  24th February 1996                                                                                               Location: Kinesda, Norway

General
Our new Finishing Hut has been built to allow contestants to rest after tough competition, and even stay overnight if they wish. It has been built to incorporate the cable car station.  Having been built into the hillside it blends naturally with the scenery, offering fine views of the hillside from picture windows in the lounge. There is a telephone, from which you may make international calls, operated by credit card.

Kitchen
The kitchen provides Calor gas cooker, microwave, fridge and double sink. There is no freezer, but food may be stored in the base hut freezer and brought up on the cable car and the external stores are kept cool naturally for most of the year. It is fitted out with cutlery and crockery for 12 people.

Bathing
The facilities comprise:
3 toilets (2 at entrance level, 1 on the lower floor)
1 shower
Steam Room
Sauna

Sleeping
Both the mens and ladies sleeping areas are large enough for six people. The lounge can also be used as sleeping accommodation.

Storage
There is ample storage for Calor gas, skis, firewood etc in the lower level storage area (mind your head)

Cable Car
The cable car is a single overhead suspension type designed to be self operated. Controls on the inside override calls from either the upper or lower staff. It contains an emergency phone linked directly to the local exchange (they all speak good English).
